Faded Memories

Jeff sat in the ER waiting room with his head in his hands. He jumped when he felt a hand on his shoulder. He looked up to see Matt's concerned brown eyes looking down at him. He stood and threw himself into Matt's arms.

"She's gonna be ok," Matt said reassuringly. "You'll see." Jeff just quietly sobbed into his brother's chest.

"Any word yet," Amy asked handing Jeff and Matt coffees. They both shook their heads no sadly. It had been almost an hour since Turquoise had gotten there.

"It's all my fault," Jeff said sniffling.

"What happened Jeff," Amy asked sitting down and patting the seat next to her. Matt sat down on the other side of him in the plastic chairs.

"We wanted to go out some place to just be alone. You know just the two of us." Matt and Amy nodded. "I wanted to take my bike and she wasn't sure about it. I....talked her into riding with me."

"Then what happened," Matt asked calmly.

"There was...um....a..." Jeff closed his eyes as tears trickled down his cheek. Amy placed a hand on his back reassuringly. "There was a cat in the road and she screamed for me to watch out. I swerved and we fell and she rolled and a.....Oh God a car hit her."

Amy and Matt looked at each other as Jeff lowered his head and sobbed into his hands. Matt pulled his baby brother into a hug and just held him while he cried. Amy stood up not wanting the tears to spill over. She walked to the window and stared out trying to hold the tears back.

"Amy," she heard and turned to see a bunch of WWF employees staring at her.

"Jeff called and was all panicked. He said something happened to T," Adam said.

"Is she ok," Jason asked walking over to her and hugging her.

"We don't know yet," Amy said as a tear drop trickled down her cheek.

"How's Jeff taking it," Rachel asked sliding her arm around Jason's waist.

"Not good," Amy sighed. "I'm glad you're all here to support him." She smiled at the people who had come to the emergency room to be with Jeff. They all followed Amy to where Matt and Jeff were. Jeff was staring down at his feet.

"I'll never forgive myself if she dies," Jeff said breaking the silence.

"Don't talk like that," Emily said.

"Yeah," Drew said. "She's not gonna die."

"You didn't see her," Jeff said closing his eyes. He could still hear her shriek and the squealing car tires. "You didn't see all the blood," he said looking down at his leopard print pants that were splattered with blood.

"You remember that night that T got me back for putting that whoopee cushion on her chair," Chris Jericho asked with a laugh. They all smiled as they remembered that Smackdown taping.

~*~*~*~

"Chris I am going to kill you," Turquoise screamed as a loud noise cut through the room when she sat down.

Jericho, who had been laughing hysterically across the dining room, ran out of the room and into the maze of halls in the arena.

Turquoise came back a few moments later breathless. "Did'ja get him," Jeff asked with a laugh.

"Not yet," she said smiling wickedly. He gave her a questioning look. "Let's just say that when he takes a shower he won't have such shiny golden locks." Jeff laughed and kissed her softly.

"You're so bad," he said still laughing.

Later that evening after the tapings there was a screech from one of the locker rooms. Matt, Jeff, Turquoise and Amy all ran out into the hall to see what the commotion was. Chris rushed over to Turquoise with a towel wrapped around his head. "You....you did this to me," he said shaking with anger.

"What'd she do," Jeff asked trying to hide his smile.

"This," Chris yelled and took the towel off his head. Matt and Lita turned away as they laughed. Jeff just looked at Chris' hair a bit stunned. Instead of blonde his hair was now streaked with neon pink. "I can't go out in public like this!"

"Calm down drama queen," Turquoise said laughing. "Here wear this," she said handing him a baseball cap. "When we get back to the hotel I'll give ya something to take the dye out." Jeff, Matt and Lita all burst out laughing as the 4 walked away from a stunned Jericho.

~*~*~*~

"Yeah she sure gave you hell for that prank," Steph said smiling weakly. The others just nodded sadly and waited with Jeff for any word.

"You guys don't have to be here," Jeff said breaking the silence.

"We want to be," Mara said from her spot on Drew's lap. "You need friends around right now."

"Mr Hardy?" They all whipped their heads around to see a short balding doctor standing in the doorway. Jeff jumped up.

"How is she?"

"I'm not going to sugar coat it," the doctor replied. "She hasn't regained conciousness. I'm afraid there might be some swelling of her brain from the accident and...if it continues to swell she will need surgery to relieve the pressure in her skull. She also has quite a few contusions and lacerations." Jeff looked away as tears sprang to his eyes again. "This isn't a death sentence Mr Hardy. If she improves within the next 24 hours she should be fine and regain conciousness in a few days."

"Can I see her," Jeff choked out.

"She's in room 669." He shook Jeff's hand and left. Jeff turned to his friends and frowned. He explained it all to them.

"Go be with her," Rachel said.

"Yeah," Emily agreed. "You go be with her and we'll be down here when you need support." Jeff nodded. They watched as he went to the elevator and got in.

"My God," Amy said burying her face into Matt's shoulder. "She had just told me yesterday that she thought Jeff was "the one"." They all looked at each other sadly and prepared for a long night in the waiting room.

~*~*~*~

Jeff walked into the room and gasped at the site. Turquoise had bandages on her head and scuff marks on her cheeks from where her face hit the asphalt. Her left arm was swollen shut and badly bruised. She had scrapes and bruises all over her arms.

He sighed heavily and took the seat next to her bed. He took her hand and leaned his head on the siderail. "You gotta wake up for me Babyface. You just gotta." He smiled slightly when he thought about how he had come up with a nickname for her.

~*~*~*~

"No fucking way," Jeff heard Turquoise yell as she and Amy walked into the Hardy dressing room to greet their men.

"What's wrong," Jeff asked as he laced up his boots.

"Vince wants T to do a heel turn," Amy said sitting in Matt's lap.

"Not happening," Turquoise mumbled as she threw things into a duffel bag. Jeff pulled her into his lap and nuzzled her neck.

"You have such a huge fan base that you could be a heel and people would still think you're a babyface," Jeff said. She smiled and kissed him.

~*~*~*~

Jeff sighed and closed his eyes as he held her hand. "Wake up Babyface. Please?"

~*~*~*~

"You guys remember when Amy and T beat me and Jay for the tag titles," Adam said as they all sat in the waiting room.

"Yeah," Jay laughed. "I still got the scar from when she tossed me into the steps."

~*~*~*~

Edge screamed out in pain as Turquoise twisted his arms harder. She had him in a hammer lock. She tagged in Lita and hopped out of the ring to handle Christian who was trying to climb back into the ring. She grabbed a handful of his hair and flung him into the steps. He crumpled to the ground in a heap.

Hopping back into the ring Turquoise watched as Lita did her moonsault and got the pin. She jumped into Lita's arms as they both celebrated their new championship.

"Damn T you cut my head," Jason said wiping some blood off his forehead.

"Sorry," Turquoise said looking at the gash. "A couple of stitches and you should be fine."

"You know you're a wrestler when you can say that just by looking at a gash," Adam laughed.

~*~*~*~

"You know I never minded when she gave me an injury," Jason said. "It was like a badge of honor because she was great at what she did."

"Yeah. She made you guys look good," Emily joked trying to lighten the mood. The others smiled weakly.

"I can't stand this anymore," Matt said standing. Amy looked up at him. "I'm going to see how Jeff is with her." No one said anything as he stormed off to the elevator.

"T and Matt bonded while Jeff and I had to make an appearance some place," Amy said to their friends who were staring at the elevator where Matt had been moments ago.

~*~*~*~

Matt walked into Turquoise's room and saw Jeff curled up in the chair beside her bed. He placed a hand gently on his shoulder startling the younger man.

"Matt," Jeff said softly. "What's wrong?"

"Just worried about my baby brother," Matt said smiling as he pulled up a chair and sat down at the foot of Turquoise's bed.

"She looks so bad," Jeff said sadly.

"Nah," Matt said patting Jeff's knee. "No worse than any match she's had," Matt lied. He looked at the bandages and scrapes and sighed.

"So, really why are you here," Jeff asked after a moment of silence.

"I'm worried about T and you," Matt said. "She's like a little sister to me now."

"When did you guys get so close," Jeff asked furrowing his brow.

"That weekend you and Amy had to make an appearance in Columbus," Matt said as he remembered the weekend.

~*~*~*~

Matt rolled over in bed and was greeted by the aroma of eggs and bacon. He stumbled out of bed and down the stairs to the kicthen.

"Morning sleepy head," Turquoise said setting a plate of eggs, pancakes and bacon in front of him at the table.

"Morning," he mumbled.

"Oh wait," she said pouring a huge cup of coffee and placing it in front of him. "You need some liquid energy." She smiled and took the seat next to him with her plat of eggs and pancakes."

"No bacon for you," he asked taking a sip of coffee.

"Nope. I don't eat pig," she said smiling.

"I see," Matt said. "So, what are we going to do without the loonies?"

"Amy's not that loony," she replied taking a sip of her orange juice. "Um...I dunno. I was just plannin' on mopin'."

"Nah ya can't do that," Matt said putting his empty plate into the sink. "Why don't we go do something?"

"Like what? It's not every day that my boyfriend's brother asks me to hang with him," she replied with a laugh. "I always got the impression that you thought I was too young to chill with."

"Not too young," Matt said washing his plate. "Just too nuts. You and Jeff are always doing some crazy stuff."

"Why because we dye our hair, get tattoos and pierce body parts?"

"Well, yeah I guess. But you make Jeff happy and that makes me happy," Matt said smiling as he turned away from the sink to face her.

They spent the rest of the day looking a old photo albums and talking about their childhoods.

~*~*~*~

"She made you so happy when I thought you would never smile again. I almost felt guilty about going out with Amy when you had no one," Matt said shyly.

"You shouldn't have," Jeff replied. "I want you to be happy."

"I said almost," Matt laughed. Jeff smiled, but it fell when a monitor by Turquoise's bed began to beep.

~*~*~*~

Matt ran to get the nurse as Jeff sat staring at Turquoise stunned, his weary mind not fully comprehending what was happening. Matt came back a few seconds later followed by a nurse.

"It's all right," she said softly as she patted Jeff on the back. He barely felt it. He was concentrating on what was happening in the bed. "That just means she's fighting." She walked over to the ventilator and made a few observations before she pressed a few buttons and the beeping stopped. "She's trying to breathe on her own," she said smiling at the two men. "We had to put her on the vent because of the swelling in her brain. If she's trying to breathe on her own it could mean the swelling is going down." She patted Jeff's shoulder again. "I'll go call the doctor. We may need a new CT scan in the morning." Matt nodded and smiled a thanks to the kind woman before she left.

"That's great news Jeff," Matt said softly. "She's always been a fighter that's for sure," he said chuckling. "It's no surprise she's trying to breathe on her own too. She's always been independent." Jeff gave a him a weak smile before resting his bloodshot green eyes back on his lover's frail form in the bed. Matt sighed and patted his brother's back. "I'm gonna go tell the others how she is." Jeff nodded, never taking his eyes off of Turquoise.

~*~*~*~

"How is she," Amy asked.

"She seems to be fighting," Matt said. "According to the nurse she's trying to breathe on her own. The ventilator started beeping like crazy while I was there and the nurse fixed it for us. Jeff is like a zombie. I think he should go back to the hotel and rest a little."

"That's great about T," Amy said smiling. "I doubt Jeff will leave her though."

"Yeah," Mara agreed. "You remember that Christmas party?"

"Oh yeah," Drew said laughing. "The one where Jeff and T had a fight before it and he spent the entire night following her around like a lost puppy?" Mara nodded.

"He's got it bad for T," Mara said. "He's madly in love."

~*~*~*~

"Babyface come on," Jeff whined as Turquoise walked away from him.

"What'd he do," Mara asked when Turquoise sat next to her at the table in the big hall the McMahons had rented for the party.

"He told me I have horrible taste in music," Turquoise fumed. "Well, I'm sorry if I like things other than Pearl Jam!" Mara chuckled. "Great! Here he comes again. I'll see ya tomorrow at Raw." Mara waved and chuckled as Jeff chased her out onto the balcony.

~*~*~*~

"Good thing they made up," Drew said laughing. "He was making us sick with that." They all laughed.

"Good thing that she's trying to breathe on her own now," Mara said. "I think Jeff would be inconsolable if she...."

"Let's not think like that," Amy said. "I should have known she would be fighting. She's an independent woman." Amy smiled and chuckled. "You girls remember our anthem?"

"Independent Women," Rachel and Steph said laughing.

"God I remember the shopping trip when we adopted that," Emily said smiling.

~*~*~*~

"Let's go," Amy and Turquoise called from the car to their friends when they took forever to say goodbye to their men. Turquoise leaned forward and turned on the radio.

"Come on," Amy yelled.

"What's all that," Turquoise asked as she watched Rachel and Mara tuck something into their purses.

"Jason likes me to have money when I shop," Rachel said.

"Drew prefers plastic," Mara said smiling.

"What," Turquoise said turning around in her seat to look at them as the beat of Destiny's Child's Independent Women began. "In this day and age you need to use your own money."

"That's easy to do when you have it," Rachel said laughing causing the others to laugh.

Hours later as the girls all sat in the car looking through their purchases and smiling the same song came on the radio.

"You see now this is our anthem," Turquoise declaired. "Rachel and Mara used their own bank accounts. We don't need men to buy us stuff!"

"Yeah," they all said in unison and began to sing along with the song as they drove back to the hotel.

~*~*~*~

"That was the best time ever," Steph said.

"Hey you guys remember that TLC match we had on Raw like a month after Wrestlemania," Adam said suddenly. They all nodded. "I was just thinking about that huricanrana T did to me from the top of that ladder." They all nodded at the memory.

~*~*~*~

Matt and Jeff had set up the ladder, but Christian hit both of them with a steel chair, leaving Edge free to climb up the ladder. He got up a few steps before Turquoise decided to climb up the other side.

She was waiting for him when he got to the top. Flashing the Hardys gun symbol, she let out a battle cry and did the huricanrana bringing the both of them crashing down to the canvas. She lay still for a while, stunned from the fall, and then began to creep to the corner to recover. Matt quickly got to his feet and climbed up the ladder. Lita had taken out Christian on the outside and Jeff was attending to Turquoise. Matt grabbed the belts and dropped down to the canvas exhausted from the match.

In the back Jeff carried Turquoise over to the trainer's table despite her protests. "I'm fine," she said. "Just a little woozy."

"You hurt your head or something," Jeff said forcing her to stay down on the table.

~*~*~*~

"T's gonna be ok," Adam said. "She's definitely a fighter." They all nodded, deep in their own thoughts.

~*~*~*~

"Yes...I understand that you have other children who can't be left alone, but this is your oldest daughter," Jeff said into the reciever. "Mrs Bennett...sorry Cooper....yeah, but......but......fine." He sighed and slammed the pay phone down and kicked the wall.

"What happened," Amy asked when she had gotten to the phones. She had come to see how Jeff was doing.

"T's gone for another CT scan," Jeff said. "I figured I'd call T's mom and let her know what happened. Maybe she'd want to come to be with her....ya know....in case...." His words trailed off.

"Don't think like that," Amy said hugging him. "She's gonna be fine. She has to be." Unshed tears shone in Amy's eyes as she said that.

"You guys got pretty close huh," Jeff said wiping a tear drop that had slid down her cheek away.

"She was like my baby sister," Amy said. "I'd be lost without her."

"I know how you feel," Jeff murmured and ran a hand through his faded purple hair.

"T would kill me for telling you this, but I think you should know." Jeff looked at Amy with interest. "She told me something a few nights ago and it has to do with what Matt was teasing you about while T was in the shower a week ago."

~*~*~*~

"Aims can I tell you something," Turquoise asked, her eyes sparkling.

"You know you can," Amy said smiling as she finished putting Turquoise's now pale pink hair into pigtail braids.

"I think I'm in love with Jeff."

"I could have told you that," Amy laughed.

"Can I tell you something else?"

"What's with you," Amy asked. "You know you can tell me anything."

"Um...you know that Jeff and I are waiting to have sex right?" Amy nodded.

"Jeff told us you didn't want to rush things," Amy said as she pulled her hair into a pony tail.

"Well, there's another reason too," the younger woman replied. Amy looked at her in interest. "I've never been with a man before. I mean I had plenty of boyfriends, but we never went further than kissing. I guess....I'm kinda scared."

"Scared of what," Amy asked smiling.

"That Jeff'll get bored with me and tired of waiting," Turquoise replied biting her lip.

Amy hugged her and said, "Jeff loves you and if you asked him to he'd wait until hell froze over for you." Turquoise smiled.

"I guess you're right," she said. "I know that I want Jeff to be my first, but I want it to be special.

"It will be," Amy said still hugging her. "Know why?" Turquoise shook her head no. "Because you both love each other and to Jeff it won't be just a night of meaningless sex."

~*~*~*~

"Wow," Jeff said when Amy had finished sharing. "I mean we never talked about that much. I'm just happy to hold her for now. I mean she said she wanted to go slow so I slowed down for her. I wouldn't have done that for a ring rat."

"I know," Amy said patting his back lovingly. "I think I saw then wheel her back into her room. "Go be with her. Tell her that her friends want to see her back in the ring. Molly called and hates the fact that she has to do physical therapy on her knee instead of being with T. They were pretty close." Jeff nodded and gave Amy a slight squeeze before he went back into Turquoise's room.

He saw the nurse putting in a new IV. When she had finished she turned and smiled wide at Jeff. "Great news," she said. "No more vent. From what I can tell by the way the doctors are talking the swelling is down too. We have to wait for the final results of all the tests though."

"Thanks," Jeff said smiling. He took his seat next to Turquoise's bed and grasped her limp hand. The nurse patted him on the back and left the room. "Babyface," he whispered. "All your friends wanna see you get better. Molly even called to check on you." He thought he felt her squeeze his hand weakly. "Did you just squeeze my hand? If you can hear me please squeeze my hand again." He waited seceral seconds and was about to give up when he felt a slightly stronger squeeze. "I'm here for you Babyface. When you wake up I'll be right here."

~*~*~*~

Jeff had fallen asleep with his head resting on Turquoise's bed. He awoke feeling something brush his cheek. He opened his eyes and looked up to see Amy and Matt there. Amy had brushed his hair out of his face. "I thought she had woken up."

"Not yet, but she has been moving her eyes," Amy said pointing to Turquoise's eyelids, which were moving as her eyes moved under them.

Jeff sat up and started to pull his hand out of hers. He had slept with his weight on it and he had a pins and needles feeling in it. When he got to her palm with his fingertips her hand clamped around his. Jeff stared up at Matt and Amy with wide eyes.

"T," Amy said. "Can you hear us?"

"She's squeezing my hand," Jeff said excitedly.

"I'll go get the nurse," Matt said rushing out of the room. He came back moments later with the nurse in tow.

"What's everyone so excited about," she asked smiling.

"We were talking and....she....she grabbed my hand. She squeezed my hand," Jeff said laughing and crying at the same time.

"Ok," she replied laughing. "Let me check her vitals and I'll call the doctor."

~*~*~*~

"What's the big news," Mara asked rushing out of the elevator with Drew, Chris and Steph not far behind.

"She squeezed my hand," Jeff said. He was on cloud nine just thinking about the fact that Turquoise was responding to his voice.

"The doctor is in there lookin' her over," Amy said hugging Jeff. "Calm down man."

"I can't," Jeff said smiling. "She's starting to wake up. I just know it."

"Mr Hardy," the doctor said coming out of Turquoise's room. "You can go sit with her again. I think it won't be long before she wakes up now."

"Thank you," Jeff said practically running back into the room.

"We better get back to the hotel and let the others know," Steph said with a chuckle. She hugged Amy and Matt and the four left.

~*~*~*~

"She's really holdin'on there isn't she," Adam asked smiling.

"Yeah," Jeff said smiling.

"You think now you can change," Jason teased.

Rachel slapped him. "You have been in those clothes since the accident two days ago," she said.

"And you're smelling a bit ripe," Adam teased. Jeff smiled.

"We brought you a change of clothes and got some soap and towels from the nurse. She said she can let you use the patient shower," Emily said handing Jeff a bag.

He looked down at his pants that still had the dried blood on it and the tattered stained shirt and sighed. "Ok," he said softly, not wanting to let go of Turquoise's hand. He took the bag and left.

About 20 minutes later he came back wearing a yellow sweatshirt and black baggy jeans. He pulled his wet hair into a pony tail as he took his seat. "Any changes," Jeff asked.

"Nope," Adam said. "She must be having a great dream though. She's smiling."

"That's new," Jason said slapping Adam upside the head. "We were talking about how she used to always kick our asses and now she's smiling."

"That's my girl," Jeff said taking her hand and kissing it. She gave his hand a slight squeeze causing his smile to widen.

~*~*~*~

"Mr Hardy," the nurse said coming into the room. "Since you'll be here tonight we thought we'd give you a pillow and a blanket."

"Thanks," he said smiling as he took the items from her.

"She's lucky to have such a devoted boyfriend," she said smiling at Jeff warmly.

"I am devoted to her," he said. "Thanks for the pillow and blanket." She nodded and left.

~*~*~*~

The nurse doing Turquoise's normal AM care woke Jeff up. "I was trying to be quiet," she said smiling warmly.

"It's ok," Jeff said stretching. "I felt her hand slip out of mine." She nodded and finished bathing the young girl.

"I think she might need a new IV bag," she said looking at the liquid in the bag that was slowly becoming empty.

"Cold." They heard a weak voice say.

"Did you say something," they both asked each other and then got quiet again.

"Cold," the voice said again. "So cold." Jeff looked at Turqiouse and saw that she was moving and her eyes were half open.

"Babyface," he asked barely above a whisper. "You're cold?"

"Didn't I just say it like a million times," she snapped and groaned as she tried to pull the blanket up around her. Jeff helped her and kissed her forehead.

"I'll go page the doctor," the nurse replied.

"I'm so glad you came back to me Babyface," he whispered in her ear.

"What happened," she asked groaning. "I feel like I lost a match to Rikishi."

Jeff laughed. "Pretty close to it. You remember the cat in the road when we were on the ride?" She nodded wincing at the pain in her neck. "Well, I swerved and we were thrown off and you...you got hit by a car."

"No wonder I feel like shit," she said groaning again.

"Just relax," Jeff said smiling.

"Could I be alone with Miss Bennett," the doctor said walking into the room. Jeff nodded and left. He went down the hall to the pay phones, dropping in some coins and quickly dialing.

"Aims," Jeff said happily. "Guess what?" He waited for the realization to set in for the redhead. "Yup. She's awake! The doctor's in with her now."

~*~*~*~

"Looks like a flower shop exploded in here," Amy said as she walked in and gave Turquoise a kiss and a gentle hug. Matt did the same after he set down the vase of yellow roses that he and Amy had picked up in the gift shop.

"Those carnations over there," Jeff said smiling as he pointed to a vase of turquoise carnations "Are from Emily and Adam. Those balloons and the vase of orchids are from Mara and Drew." He pointed behind Amy's right shoulder. "This is from Steph and Chris," he said pointing to a teddy bear with a get well soon shirt on and balloons with mutiple colored get well messages on them. "And the pink roses are from Rachel and Jase. Oh and the tigerlillies are from Molly."

"Wow," Amy said smiling. "I didn't think you were that popular."

"Neither did I," Turquoise replied. "Doc says I can go home tomorrow."

"Yeah," Jeff said. "I needed to talk to you guys about that. T's gonna need a little help around the house and Vince gave us some time off...."

"Vince gave you some time off," Matt replied frowning. Jeff gave them a questioning look.

"He called yesterday," Amy explained. "He said he tolerated me and Matt not showing at Raw and Smackdown for one week, but we better have our asses in California for Raw tomorrow or we can pick up our pink slips."

"Sorry bro," Matt said patting Jeff's shoulder. "If it makes you feel any better....he said you can take as much time off as possible. He says he saw how in love you are with T and he knows you'd be no good with your mind elsewhere."

"Guess it's just you and me," Jeff said smiling at Turquoise. She smiled sleepily and closed her eyes. Amy and Matt hugged Jeff.

"We better get packed and on our way to Cali," Amy said softly. She looked over her shoulder at Turquoise. "Take good care of her." Jeff nodded and waved as they left.

~*~*~*~

"Jeff I can walk ya know," Turquoise laughed as Jeff carried her down the stairs and placed her on the couch.

"Just wanna make sure my Babyface gets nice and rested like the doctor said."

"I need my pillow," she pouted and pulled Jeff down beside her. He laughed and wrapped an arm around her waist as she turned on the TV and rested her head on his chest, snuggling closer to him. "You must have been really scared while I was in the hospital huh?"

"I thought I was gonna die without you," he whispered kissing the crown of her head. "The gang was talking about all the memories you guys made." Turquoise smiled. "Amy shared one with me."

"She told you," Turquoise said frowning.

"Don't be mad at her. She just thought I should know," Jeff said running a hand though her hair. "How come you never told me that was why you wanted to wait?"

"Because I was afraid you wouldn't want me if I did," she replied looking away.

He turned her face up so that her turquoise eyes met his green ones. "I want you no matter what and I'd wait forever if you asked me to." She leaned her head on his chest and hugged him tightly.

The phone rang and Turquoise snatched the cordless from Jeff's hands. "Yello," she said laughing at Jeff's pout.

"Sounds like someone is almost back to normal," Matt laughed.

"Nah she's never been normal," Amy said in the background.

"I'll get her for that," Turquoise said. "What's up Mattie?"

"We're on our way back home," Matt said. "We're in the air right now somewhere between California and Cameron."

"We'll leave the light on for you guys," Turquoise said with a laugh. She blew a kiss into the phone and hung up.

"Matt didn't want to talk to me," Jeff asked with a slight pout.

"Just wanted to let us know that they're on their way home."

"So we only have a few hours left of peace," Jeff asked. She nodded. "What shall we do?"

"I have an idea," she said smiling and taking his hand as she stood. She led him up the stairs to her room and laid back on her bed.

"I thought you wanted to wait," he asked looking down at her.

"I learned something in the hospital," she said sitting up and pulling his face down to hers. "Life is too short to wait for anything." With that she kissed him with all the passion in her.

"Are you sure you feel well enough to do this," he asked looking into her eyes.

"It's been almost a 2 weeks since the accident," she replied and pulled him gently on top of her. She kissed him passionately again and only pulled away to pull his T-shirt off of him. He unbuttoned her blouse and slid it off of her shoulders, nuzzling her satin and lace clad breasts with his nose. She giggled at the feeling at first, but then threw her head back when he nipped and gently sucked her nipples through the flimsy material.

He reached back and unclasped the bra letting it slide away slowly before relacing his mouth over one nipple and then the other. She groaned when he lost interest in that and kissed a trail down to her jeans. He unzipped them and slid them and her panties off and just admired her naked body.

She tried to cover her bare skin, but his gently took her hands in his and kissed them. "Never hide your beauty," he whispered.

She nodded and pulled his face to hers for another kiss. She let her lips make a trail down to his pierced belly button. She played with the hoop with her tongue before she slid his sweats and boxers off of him. Her eyes grew wide at his naked form before her.

Seeing her face he whispered, "I promise you it will only hurt for a second. Do you trust me?"

"With my life," she replied smiling. He kissed her again as he laid her back and positioned himself over her.

He slid into her slowly never taking his eyes off of hers. "This is the part that hurts," he whispered. "You ready?" She nodded and braced herself. He slid out slowly and back in with just enough force to break the barrier.

Tears stung her eyes and she let out a loud moan into Jeff's mouth, which he had placed over hers to stifle her painful cry. He waited until she had adjusted to him and for her pain filled whimpers to stop.

"I'm sorry," he whispered into her ear. "I promise I will never hurt you again after that." She leaned up and kissed him deeply.

"Make love to me Jeff," she said when her whimpers had died down. He smiled and kissed her again as he began a slow pace, he didn't want to rush through a moment with her.

Finally they both collapsed exhausted from the afternoon's activities. Jeff pulled Turquoise into his arms and kissed her. "I love you," he whispered.

"I love you too," she replied. "I'm glad you were my first. Makes all those other guys I dated seem like distant, faded memories." He smiled and hugged her closer to him. She rested her head on his chest and they drifted off to sleep.

"We're home," Amy yelled as she and Matt walked into the house. She frowned when there was no response. "You think they heard me?"

"The dead heard you," Matt chuckled. "Maybe they're taking a nap."

Amy nodded and ran up the stairs to Turquoise's room. She opened the door and gasped before closing the door again.

Matt came up the steps just as she was shutting the door. "They napping?"

"More like renewing their energy," Amy chuckled. Matt gave her a confused look and then realization dawned on his face.

"Well this is certainly a surprise folks," JR called as Turquoise's music blasted in the arena. "We haven't seen this young lady in almost 2 months!"

"Puppies! The puppies are back," The King cried.

"Down boy," JR said chuckling as the crowd cheered loud for Jeff and Turquoise as they made their way down to the announce table.

"Take good care of her," Jeff said leading Turquoise to a seat next to The King. "Don't let anything happen to her." He smiled and blew a kiss to her before he hopped into the ring to await his oppointment.

"Well, young lady," JR begand turning his attention to Turquoise as she put a headset on. "How are you feeling?"

"Better," she replied smiling. "Feeling stronger everyday and looking forward to getting back into that ring and kicking ass like I used to."

"I've missed ya so much," The King said with a wide smile.

"Any idea around when you'll be back in the ring," JR asked as Eddie Geurerro got into the ring.

"Well, I'd say about another month," she replied and cheered as Jeff whipped Eddie into the ropes and clotheslined him. They shared a few more comments before Jeff won the match.

Turquoise threw off the headset and ran into Jeff's awaiting arms. He kissed her softly before they walked to the back.

"You guys are just sickening," Matt teased ruffling Jeff's green and purple hair.

"You're just mad because now me and T keep you and Aims up at night," Jeff said sticking his tongue out at Matt.

"Let's get back to the hotel before these guys start seeing whose is bigger," Amy chuckled.
