Amy sat in the living room of the house she and Matt had been living in for the past year. She looked down at the suitcases she had packed just an hour ago and sighed. "I can't do this anymore," she said to herself. "He doesn't love me and I know it. I can't be a fool anymore." With one last look around at the lavish home, she stood, gathered her bags and headed out to the car. She propped a note card up against a lamp on the side table where Matt always put his keys and left.
Amy hummed to herself as she walked down the hall to the soda machines.
"How you holdin' up Aims," Jeff asked.
Amy smiled at the younger Hardy. He always hated what Matt had done to her in their relationship. "I'm doing great," she said. "It's like I'm living again. Leaving Matt was the best thing I ever did." Jeff smiled and nodded.
"Good luck against Trish tonight," he said and kissed her cheek before he jogged off.
Amy grabbed a soda and headed back to the locker room. Before she made it there she heard a squeal and then a giggle. She peered into the nearest open door and saw Matt tickling Stacy Keibler. They were having a grand old time until Matt caught sight of Amy in the doorway and looked down guiltily.
"Hey Matt," Amy said. "There's no need to feel guilty. Like I said in my note we're through. I'm not worried about what you do."
"But don't you think that maybe we could...."
"No," she said cutting him off. "It's over Matt. I'm not coming back this time." With that said she spun on her heel and headed off to prepare for her match.
Matt stared at the doorway, dumbfounded. He couldn't believe that he had finally lost her. He was so used to coming home to her and now....she was gone....not his anymore. He looked to Stacy and walked out of the room, suddenly not in the mood for her anymore.
