Baylee rolled over in bed and sighed loudly. Earlier that day she had tried to call Shannon and found that his old number had been disconnected. She wasn't exactly sure why, but she wanted to share some news with him. Kameryn, Amy and Leighanna had managed to help her get a job with the WWE. She was going to be a valet. She was about to hang up, thinking that it would be in bad taste to tell him she'd be working for the federation that wouldn't give him a shot, when the recording came on that the number had been disconnected. She had called Amy to find out what was going on and found out that Shannon had moved.
"I should have asked Amy where you were now Shan," she mumbled and tried to get back to sleep.
Shannon sat unwrapping picture frames. He stared down at the only picture he had of himself and Baylee and sighed. "I miss you so much princess." He set the picture frame on his night table and stared around his new home. It was smaller than his old house, but there were too many painful memories haunting him there. Every corner of the house seemed to shout Baylee's name and he just couldn't take it anymore. One night he had even awakened to what he thought was the sound of her voice. He sold the house to save his sanity. Silently he prayed that Amy would give Baylee his new phone number so that he could hear her angelic voice again.
Baylee sighed as Shannon's eyes flashed across her eyes. She silently wondered if he missed her at all.
"Ah good," Vince said to Baylee smiling. "Follow me and I'll introduce you to your partner." She followed him down a long hall to a locker room and knocked on the door before he entered. "This is your partner," he said pointing to a man who had his back to them tying his boots. At the sound of Vince's voice the man straightened up and turned around. Baylee gasped.
"Shannnon," she said barely above a whisper.
"What are you doing here," Shannon asked, but deep down he was happy to see her.
"I work here now. I'm the new valet."
"I'm working Velocity," Shannon smiled.
"I see you two know each other," Vince said smiling. "I'll let you get caught up." With that he left them alone.
"You have no idea how good it is to see you," Shannon finally said and attempted to hug her. She resisted at first and then melted into his arms.
"I've missed you so much," she said trying not to cry.
"I've missed you too," he replied. "Princess....I need you in my life. Please come back to me." His eyes pleaded with her.
"I can't Shan," she replied. "I just can't. We've both changed. It's not the same anymore." With that she left his locker room.
